A quick year-end update to revisit our star athlete,

Merry Christmas
and
Happy New Year !!!

Now is a good time to review the 2007 forecast posted in December 2006,and to focus on some of the particulars.

A detailed forecast for 2008 will be available here soon.

Tonight's chart may seem a little bit too busy,
but that's because it's a combination of the charts
posted during the last few days.

Interestingly, 1470 is an important level both for the futures and the cash market.

Bulls should aim first for 1471 or better,
while 1452 is the magic number for the bears.

Today was another trip to the bottom of the abyss,
hitting some key levels in the process.

A sneak-peek at 2008.

Well, maybe the answer to yesterday's question
could be found in the chart itself.

Will this speed bump be enough to derail the car?
That is the question.

The SPX remains in the channel while getting oversold.

Caution: speed bump right ahead.

I like the symmetry of this chart so much
that I'll post it again.

For those who follow this blog, here's and update
of a chart posted about a week ago.

And to take the analysis a step further -- between now
and 12.18.07 the SPX should not close below the 12.11.07 low.

P.S. Make that the 12.12.07 low.

These are two of the reasons why the last few days looked suspicious.

Monday, December 10, 2007

Interesting day, tomorrow, for several reasons...

If this was an athlete, how long before a crash and burn?

In light of my comments from yesterday --
probably right after New Year.

Thursday, December 06, 2007

A positive reaction (expected) to the Fed meeting on 12.11.07 will clear the way to tag the upper trend-line.

Tuesday, December 04, 2007

Here's another good looking SPX chart,
followed by an ominous looking one.
